Check-in/Check-Out

Our normal check-in time is 3:00-11:00pm, check-out is 11:00am. While this accommodates most of our guests, if you need to arrive before of after that time, please be aware of the following:

Our lobby is closed 11pm-6am most days however we can be reached in case of emergency by calling 778-877-3931.

Early check-in can usually be achieved but is not guaranteed. We will always to our very best to accommodate your schedule.

If you plan to arrive after 11pm, please let us know.

Smoking Policy

Our rooms are non-smoking for reasons of health, safety and comfort for all of our guests. Guests who violate the policy and smoke in premises are subject to a minimum $300.00 charge for returning the room to smoke-free status and agree to being charged by accepting this policy. We appreciate your understanding. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available. (____)

Lost Keys

Lost keys will result in a $75.00 charge to re-key the room.

Pet Policy

Dogs are permitted in rooms provided they are well behaved and good natured. Any unruly dogs that cannot be controlled will be asked to leave. This includes incessant barking, damaging property and aggressive behaviour.

A maximum of two dogs are allowed per room. Due to allergy concerns, we do not allow cats to stay in our rooms

If you are traveling with a pet, please let us know ahead of time so that arrangements can be made. Like any good owner, we expect guests to clean up after their pet and properly dispose of any waste. Pets are not to be left unattended in the rooms.

We reserve the right to charge for any damage to or removal of items from the premises and/or unusual cleaning.

Photography Policy

All photo shoots and filming are subject to advance approval by the owners. At least seven days advance written notice required prior to any personal or professional photo shoots. No closed door filming allowed. Additional fees apply. In other words, you may not simply reserve a room for a photo shoot or filming. This also applies to day of events such as weddings. A liaison designated by The Bayview will be assigned to monitor all photo shoots and filming. Please call us at 807-274-5347 for further details. A separate contract is required.

Lost Items

Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur a minimum charge of $10 and may take up to 30 days to receive. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. When the guest uses the parking lot within the premises of the motel, the motel simply offers the space for parking and shall not be liable for the custody of the vehicle of the guest, whether the key of the vehicle has been deposited at the motel or not.

Damage Policy

Damaged or missing items from rooms post check out will be charged to your credit card on file. These include but are not limited to remote controls, linens, pillows, mugs, room key, dishes/cutlery, etc.; please inquire if you have any questions or concerns about this policy.

Injuries

Guest(s) agrees to carry the appropriate insurance policies while staying at The Bayview Motel and forever discharge and release The Bayview Motel Ltd. from any legal liability and to not sue The Bayview Motel Ltd. for property damage or any injuries, including death, caused by, related to or resulting from, guest's stay or travel to or from the motel.

Cancellation Policy

We strive to have a cancellation policy that is fairly flexible for our guests, but please understand that last-minute cancellations really affect other customers from booking rooms. 

For reservations made 30 days or less from the reserved date:

Cancellations are free up to 24 hours prior to arrival date. Cancellations that occur less than 24 hours prior to arrival are subject to a cancellation fee equal to one nightly rate of each room booked.

For reservations made 31 days or more from the reserved date:

Cancellations are free up to 7 days prior to arrival date. Cancellations that occur less than 7 days prior to arrival are subject to a cancellation fee equal to one nightly rate for each room booked.

Please be sure to acquire trip insurance in the event of unexpected illness, death or weather related emergencies as we are not able to make an exception to this policy.

Additional policies apply to group reservations of three or more rooms.

Our rates are based on double occupancy, additional adult guests may require an additional charge. All room rates and extra charges are subject to a 13% HST (Harmonized Sales Tax). Beginning January 2019, all hotels are required to add a 4% Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) to your room rate charge, otherwise there are no additional taxes, fees or hidden surcharges. Direct reservations are confirmed by payment of your 1st night in the case of a one or two night stay OR 50% of your total stay for three or more nights during high season (May thru September). This may appear as two separate charges on your statement in the case of three or more days. All other channels (e.g. booking.com etc.) may require full payment in advance. A $200 security deposit authorization is required at check in. A valid ID must be presented at time of check in along with the credit card used to reserve online.
